Watersports & Boating Risk Waiver
Please read this waiver in full and sign to acknowledge the risks before booking.
Age Requirement (19+)
You must be at least 19 years of age to rent a boat from OKGN Boat Rentals. By signing this waiver, I confirm that I am 19 years of age or older. Guests under 19 may join a trip only as supervised passengers under the responsibility of the renting adult.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that boating and watersports — including but not limited to wakesurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, swimming, and riding as a passenger — are inherently dangerous activities. They can result in serious personal injury, permanent disability, drowning, or death, and in damage to or loss of property. These risks exist even when all safety equipment is used and reasonable care is taken.
Voluntary Participation
I am choosing to take part in these activities voluntarily and with full knowledge of the dangers involved. I confirm that I and everyone in my party are in suitable physical condition to participate, and I accept responsibility for following all safety instructions given by the OKGN captain and crew. I understand that anyone in my party who cannot swim will be given an approved life jacket to wear before boarding and is expected to keep it on while on the water.
Release of Liability
In exchange for being permitted to participate, I, on behalf of myself and all members of my party, agree to assume all risks of injury, loss, or damage. I release, waive, and discharge OKGN Boat Rentals, its owners, captains, crew, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from participation in boating or watersports, and I agree not to sue or bring any claim against them for such injury, loss, or damage — except where caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where this waiver is limited by applicable law.
Waiver at the Dock
I understand that signing this waiver does not replace a second, similar liability waiver that the OKGN captain will provide and that I (and each member of my party) must read and sign in person at the dock before boarding. Boarding is not permitted until that dockside waiver is signed.
Acknowledgement
I have read this waiver, fully understand its terms, understand that I am giving up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily. I understand it is binding on me, my heirs, and my representatives.
